Between now and the January 2027 scholarship launch, Well Planned Education is focused on building and activating the full program infrastructure so families, schools, and vendors are ready when applications open.
Key activities during this preparation period include:
- Completing federal and state alignment as states opt in
- Expanding the Well Planned marketplace ecosystem
- Onboarding and preparing approved vendors
- Supporting school registration and readiness
- Enabling taxpayer participation and awareness
- Opening and processing priority family registrations
Throughout 2026, participating stakeholders will see increasing opportunities to prepare, promote awareness, and position their communities to benefit from the program.
By the time scholarship applications open in January 2027, the goal is a fully operational, compliant, and scalable system ready to serve eligible students.
